Studio Policies

LilyPad runs on a Season system. Every commitment is a single 90-day Season ending in a tangible artifact (Studio Day, Pond Showcase, original demo, or debut single). You pick how to pay: monthly installments across the Season, or one upfront payment for a small discount.
If you cancel before your 90-day Season ends, the Season continues to be billed (or, if paid upfront, no refund is issued for lessons not yet used). The Season is the unit you committed to.
Sarah signs up for a Season at 45-min weekly lessons — $245/month for 3 months ($735 total). After month 2 she decides to step away.
Her month-3 payment still processes because she committed to the full Season. She receives her remaining 4 lessons and whatever finish-line artifact the Season includes — then she simply doesn't renew for Season 2. No early-cancellation fee.
The principle is simple: you commit one Season at a time, and each Season runs to its end.
Once your Season finishes, you can renew for the next Season, skip a Season, or stop entirely. There's no auto-renew and no long-term contract — every Season is a fresh decision.
Lessons are booked weekly through your student dashboard. 2× / week students get two recurring slots. Recurring slots can be permanently changed with one week's notice.
Less than 24 hours notice or a no-show: the lesson is forfeited and no credit is issued.
Lessons begin and end at the scheduled time regardless of student arrival.
The posted annual schedule covers major holidays and any planned multi-week closures. Lessons affected by these are credited or rescheduled at no cost.
Lewis is a working vocalist and producer in addition to teaching. Occasionally a tour date, a recording session he's tracking on, or a one-off performance will mean a lesson needs to move on his end. Here's how that's handled:
It's part of working with an active artist — occasional flexibility on timing, in exchange for a teacher who's still in the industry making real records.
Available within a 15-mile radius of Summerlin at +$25/lesson. 24-hour notice required for cancellation; same-day cancellation forfeits the in-home premium plus the lesson.
48-hour reschedule notice required. Deposit non-refundable but transferable to a future session within 60 days.
Once your commitment period ends, you can cancel any time with 30-day written notice. Remaining lessons in the current paid month are honored.
Opt-in consent for the use of student likeness or audio on the website, social media, and Lily Pad Sessions channel. A separate consent form is required for minors (parent/guardian signature).
Parents are welcome for the first lesson and milestone lessons (tier promotions, recording sessions). Drop-off is encouraged for regular lessons to maximize student focus.
Mutual respect, punctuality, instrument care. LilyPad Lessons reserves the right to terminate the teaching relationship for behavior, payment, or scheduling abuse, with one month's notice and prorated refund of unused lessons.
